remember that the whole idea is to stop relying on the subfolder concept,
because  it requires "recall" abilities on the user's brain.  Hierarchical
categorization systems have been proven to be too restrictive.

If you could right-click the file and select the categories from a list, or
perhaps , at save point, select a "Folder" with the category name, it could work
though.  Instead of creating "Directories", the user would create "Categories"
beforehand.  Never mind that the "categories" could be named "directories" or
"folders" as well, blurring the line.
