Install a .desktop file under $KDEDIR/share/applnk/Internet
If you use the build-framework that's standard for KDE applications then you
can do so by adding the following lines to your Makefile.am:
apps_DATA = yourApp.desktop
appsdir = $(kde_appsdir)/Internet
The format of .desktop files is described on
http://www.freedesktop.org/standards/desktop-entry-spec/0.9.4-onehtml/
If you need any examples you can find plenty of .desktop files under $KDEDIR/
share/applnk
