I wouldnt call it a hack. It has some unusual dependencies, but at least it is 
less likely that it will (silently?) break in the next BT version. And even 
worse, almost all applications that wrap command line apps have an extremely 
bad user feedback. You never know what exactly is happening, unless the 
wrapper lets you see the STDOUT output of the program.
