Setting $KDEDIRS to include an install-path for development-apps...
On my system (gentoo) there is kde at /usr/kde and most kde-apps (that do not
come with kde) install itself to /usr. KDEDIRS is set to /usr so kde searches
this for kde-paths to.
I could imagine adding /home/<user> to KDEDIRS and installing/linking
developments with --prefix=/home/<user>.
