Very good. Now what if the changes coming to aRts (which require glib) will 
make it possible for us to reuse a lot of work done by other projects 
(hopefully pro audio tools as well as media frameworks and soundservers)?

Toolkit? Is my definition of toolkit wrong? (Qt and GTK being toolkits)

Please realize that aRts is a lot more than a sound server. And please don't 
start complaining that it shouldn't be because that has already been 
discussed on kde-multimedia and is being worked on.
