Yes, thatīs right. But a) ./configure produces a lot of output and b) not 
every "not found" or "no" means a feature is disabled. So taking the "hard 
way" is not always successful.
LFS works like every other distribution, the difference is that you donīt 
install a precompiled system but compile everything from source. So you have 
to install all libraries manually bec. thereīs no dependency database or 
something like that. If youīre intrested look at www.lfs.org for further 
information.
