Actually this usually fails miserably, as random mail messages will crash 
kmail with a sigabrt and courrupt both the IMAP folder and the destination 
mailbox.  I ended up going to a filtering solution using procmail on the 
server, but let me tell you, A) that was  a nightmare and B) still cannot do 
it with my exchange account.

I have looked into the filters and what it boils down to is if the IMAP ids 
change during the filter process (and for some unknown reason they do) 
everything goes ape...

That being said, IMAP is a PITA to implement, but awesome when it works.  I 
have used Nutscrapes IMAP with Exchange with no issues other than lack of KDE 
integration.  It would be nice if some brave soul would be willing to take a 
wack at IMAP.
