One advantage of having sliders even for precise numerical values is that it
gives the user an idea of what a reasonable range of settings is. For
instance, off the top of my head, what 'Snap Zone' setting would I want?
Even for the energy settings, where I have a better intuitive feel for what
to go with, it's nice to have a visual cue in order to not have to think
about it.
Personally, I also find the arrows in Qt spinboxes difficult to click, but
that's another issue....
