The version of CUPS on SuSE 7.2 ix86 (and therefore presumably 7.1/AXP) is 
too old for KDE-3, so unless you upgrade cups (and they haven't issued an 
upgrade) there's no chance. [FWIW I tried a source upgrade of CUPS but 
couldn't get my printer to work at all with it -- I think SuSE do something 
wierd with the config files].
