I'll be adding support for KPassivePopup to KNotify soon which will avoid
this problem. I don't think there's another solution.

Rich.

Subject: Knotify question

Hi!

I'm currently trying to patch my local kmail to use the
configurable notification handling by an eventsrc
file when new mail arrives instead of the simple
beep call it uses now.

The patch works but theres one problem.

If the user chooses to get a messagebox on mail
arrival his desktop will be cluttered with message
boxes if he doesn't close them. Since every time
the knotify event is called a new message box
is opened by knotify.

The current kmail avoids this by a simple
boolean. But that's not possible when
the messagebox is invoked through knotify
and not directly by kmail as it is now.

Is there any way to work around this?

Regards,
Stephan
