  EXACTLY! I was wondering how the infamous tabbed browsing can be activated
because I was unable to do it. I was even able to add an icon "add tab" to
the toolbar but it was inactive all the time.
  When starting via "konqueror", both ways work.

Yes, I also tried to save the profile with some tabs open and I found that I
cannot.
  So You are absolutely not alone with this problem.
