That's much too much typing for me :-)

Simply using 'startx -- :2' works fine for me. Actually you could use :1 
through to :9 presuming your using :0 for your primary Xserver (which startx 
defaults to). The Xservers will automatically use the next available VC, so 
no need to specify.
