Try disableing the conduits all. Then enable them one by one.  I personally 
have only gotten the addressbook conduit to work EVERY time.  Once you have 
one working re-enable them one by one to see which ones are causing problems.

Just my 2c, I have been using KPilot here for the last week and have now 
dumped JPilot completely.  I now can keep my addresses in KDE :)

I have a Visor Prism, these are known to have entertaining problems with all 
of the palm sync software under linux.
