I don't consider this nice. It'd be nice if CVS did all changes, even across 
directories atomically, and if it didn't produce that lock message, but 
instead just give people the old revision as long as the commit isn't 
finished. Maybe one should consider replacing cvs with subversion (see 
http://subversion.tigris.org/)
