Now it works on my system. I think it is a little hard to grasp the GUI. Is 
there no way to get an explanation on the alternatives? How would I know what 
to choose? :-) I guess this is an inherent limitation of the debian 
alternatives system??

Also I think it should be a kcm module with the option to become root, but I 
think this is planned anyways, isn't it?
