I think "Beta" means "we don't know heavy bugs for the current features.
User, please try to find bugs we haven't found yet". Anything other is
"Alpha". That's why I vote for another alpha version, at least since kdm
is still not working at all on a cvs-clean rebuild on a SuSE machine.
