Subject:    Masked window (Shape extension) performance?

Can anyone tell me if the overhead of a masked window (using
the Shape extension) is dependent on the size of the mask, or
the complexity of the QRegion used to define it? I guess I'm
basically asking if a mask specified as a QRegion is converted
to a bitmap internally.
