Hi!

OK, it turned out the problem with kcontrol that
many people have is KDEDIR set to 1.1.2 and
kbuildsycoca finding the wrong Settings group ;(

Greetings, Stephan

Reruning kbuildsycoca after removing the ksyscoca fixed the problem. (I
didn't set KDEHOME since it points to $HOME/.kde which is what I want.)

Thanks much for you help. I am very happy with KDE2. So much so that I
am
starting to consider buying an IA32 system with Linux, KDE2, and WINE or
VMware and possibily abandoning plans to upgrade my Mac. (Although Aqua
is
pretty darn cool and Mach is arguably more mature than Linux. :)

Thanks,
Brian
