Hi,
your error looks like what's happening on my box for several weeks
already, except that my screen turns grey instead of black.
I have just investigated a bit and I found out, that when I restart the
computer completely ( i.e. shutdown and restart ), the KDE2 starts correctly.
However after simple logout and login again, I get the grey screen.
I don't know if this helps a bit, but at least I will not cleanup / delete my
sources again, because now I know, that it was not a source of the problem.
Cheers
Matt
