There _are_ still some corrections being made in the translation
strings. They are just not visible yet because the PO files have not
been updated for a few days now (and apparently won't be updated until
Stephan Kulow is back). Maybe it was really not a good idea to set the
same date for the feature and the message freeze.

Having said this, I'm against deferring the release of the translation
and separating them from the rest of the release, esp. considering the
fact that translators have been told now for months how important it is
for them to meet the release date. It would be totally demotivating to
see their work treated as a secondary thing to other KDE packages
(again). Nobody would think of releasing KDE I guess if other "separate
packages" like koffice or kdeutils were not ready for release. And for
many French, German, Japanese, and other non-English users the
translated version _is_ their KDE. As long as they don't have their
translated version they don't have any KDE at all.

So I would say: it's hard enough that we will apparently release
without having all the docs translated but to release without any
translations at all looks totally out of the question to me. For future
releases we can discuss if we should adopt a company like release model
(finish the original version first, than create the localizations). But
for now I think we should re-consider this message freeze thing,
and find a solution that works, ie: set a new date pretty soon. But
don't let us separate translations from the main release.

Regards,

Thomas
