KFileDialog::setFilter, and the filter is prepared by
QString KoFilterManager::fileSelectorList
(koffice/lib/kofficecore/koFilterManager.cc)

Apparently it's "\n" that separates the filters, and yes, this is badly documented
in kfiledialog.h (was, last time I checked, at least).
