True. I could earn more money by doing more contracts and less KDE work,
but I don't want to because monetary reward is less important to me.

Voting on issues:

I warn against the referendum system, where every issue is voted upon by
anyone who cares to. I believe this will lead to decisions being taken
that are, upon reflection, considered to be mistakes.

I would also predict that this kind of system can lead only to a split
between the two large groups of users, the 'normal' user and the 'power'
user. This in turn could quite easily lead to polarisation and, in time,
a project split.

IMHO if any kind of voting system is introduced, it should be similar
to the Apache system. This kind of system is less prone to a 'two-party'
system than the usual democratic system.

One other thing. Decision making processes are all well and good, but
as mosfet says, in the end, we all only do what we want to or are able
to.

Rik
