Actually, it is and it is not. It is, if you get the menu's first choice
under the pointer, AND you want to use the first choice.

If you want to use any other, you lose enough time aiming to make the mac 
menubar faster.

You see, on a popup, fitts law applies only to one point of the menu, on
a mac bar, it applies to all the menu.
