latin1 and ascii()? Never.. maybe for debug output or something like that.

i18n() takes a UTF-8 string as an argument and returns a QString.

Don't know about that.

* QFile::encodeName() and QFile::decodeName() for filenames
  (it uses local8Bit() for the moment, but that can change in the future.)

* local8Bit() when printing to screen.
