In theory, it's possible to free a shared pixmap outside kdesktop. This
will give a BradDrawable error in kdesktop, probably crashing it. This, of
course, cannot happen if you use the interface defined by KSharedPixmap.

But: If a hacker has access to your display, he can do much more than just
crashing kdesktop.. It's not possible to protect against this. If a hacker
gets access to your display, you're screwed.
