No, I didn't misunderstand you :-)

openpartsui already reimplements the CURRENT Qt API.  We all know that
Qt isn't remaining static, though!  That's what I meant by "playing
catch-up all the time".  As soon as you have to reimplement something
that is *already* implemented.. well, you've just wasted time that
could have been better spent on something else!
