kio's mimetype detection does _not_ uses mimelib, AFAIK.
It uses kmimemagic.cc, and kdenetwork uses it as well.

I suppose mimelib is not mimetype detection. It's probably rather
multiple part MIME encoding. Yes, a good candidate for kdenetwork/lib
