Actually, I should completely drop that portion of the keyword and simply use 
{internal~currenthost} and {internal~allhosts}. There is really no need to 
qualify the keyword. From KIO's perspective, there are two kinds of metadata, 
regular and internal. The internal ones are implicitly marked as such because 
the same mechanism is used to exchange both and some we needed a way to 
separate the two. There is no need to have any other kind of "internal" meta-
data as far as I can tell...

Yes, configuration data is shared between http and https. See documentation for 
KProtocolInfo::config in kdelibs/kdecore/sycoca/kprotocolinfo.h
