I don't see that it would be any better than having RC3, after all we can 
always have an RC4 if we find too many showstoppers to do work patch by patch 
from here on in.

In my experience there is always a peak in bug fixes at this point in a 
release, as it's only now that everyone puts themselves under pressure to 
find and fix them.
