Maybe nice but it would be unwise to put something like this in such a 
prominent place. The comic stuff is really too much of a "private joke" for 
geeks and is not appropriate for a "business and corporate environment" 
which KDE _also_ aims to be. At least not hereabouts (Germany).

This does not mean to kill all the geeky stuff in KDE, of course. But don't 
put it in places like the splash screen and the default desktop.
