I think the real issue here is a PR/communication issue.  Just like
the KDE III meeting was not properly announced beforehand, even if it
was limited-resources and invite-only, this wasn't internally
publicized properly.

So while there weren't any bad decisions per se, and indeed a lot of
good work done, there is a lot of misunderstanding floating around
because people have been caught off-guard and find themselves unaware
of what's been going on in their pet project.

Moral of the story: Improve the communication in the project, make
more announcements to keep the developers in the loop.

And to the 'victims': Keep your complaints short and to the point,
don't launch revolutions!
