I'm in charge of coordinating the release. I'm not a nanny of the KDE 
developers, nor a mentor of the development. I'm very disappointed to 
realize that you apparently didn't understand the basic unwritten rules 
everybody else tries to comply with. The goal should be to release a good 
desktop environment, and we should worry more about actually reaching that 
goal instead of playing the "bending the rules" game.
