that doesn't buy me anything. i need to convert a qstring to a
qfont/qcolor/whatever. the functions in kconfigbase all read from the
config object. basically the "worker part" of all the {read*,write}Entry
functions would have to be broken out into own functions - that's what
qt provides now (for a very limited number of classes).
