Maybe the best way to see if this is a nuisanse or a gift is to ask/look into
the last/upcoming releases of the distros. If the major distros are allready
releasing ogg(V2/3), or are planning to do so in the next release then I'd say 
that its safe to depend on the libs. 

I welcome the usage of ogg anyway, it has a great advantage over all others :)
