I'm working on more Konqueror view <-> KFileDialog view integration, as well 
as providing a feature-complete API for those views. There's quite some 
design differences in kfile and konq and both have some advantages and 
disadvantages.

Additionally, Klaas Freitag is dekonqifying Konqueror's treeview and 
making that available as a widget, as well as using it in Konq, then.

All this should go into KDE3.
