Without the patch I get http://enzosworld.gmxhome.de/temp/unsorted.png and I 
think this is what the reporter of bug 173027 meant :-)

BTW: comment #2 indicates that the sorting order of the "Others" group is not 
deterministic, so it might be that in your case it only works because the 
creation time of your elements matches with the wanted sort order "per 
accident" (I'm just guessing).

Hm, this seems to be a more tricky issue than it looks in the first sight...
