Sure, that is why I had opened a discussion under koffice-devel, unfortunately 
it is still a monologue for now. :-(

My idea was to prepare the OO filters in KOffice (1.3.1 will probably be 
enough) for the new template mimetypes and to define the new template 
mimetypes in KDE 3.3.

(By the way: I forgot to tell that it is bug 67087.)
