using telnet to port 143, on the machine.  I manage to be able to get the 
correct behaviour happening, but just selecting my inbox.

RH 6.2's default IMAP server, on selecting the inbox copies all the mail from 
/var/spool/mail/wizzard to ~/mbox

When using programs like PINE over IMAP, telnet to imap port, and Outlook 
Express on evil windows, this all works fine.  but not in Kmail.

I hope this will help in taking my bug more serioursly.
