Thanks for you,
I added a line in kdeglobal as you kindly instructed.
restarted kde, and It becomes no problem to choose fonts from Combo box.
It works really very fine.

I'm using qt2.3.0 with
XFree86-4.0.3-3k SOURCE RPM packaged by kondara-jirai found at
ftp.jaist.ac.jp/pub/os/linux/kondara/Jirai/SRPMS
rebuilded privately and carelessly for Vine-linux-2.1.5 using egcs
with matrox G450 beta graphic-driver binary mga.drv.o mga_hal.o
distributed by matrox co.
I checked configuration at [controlcenter>look&feel >fonts]
and it seems font-antialiasing enabled.
(seems surely antialiased as far as previewed by kghostview.)
I originally started compiling kde source with egcs1.1.2,
and I encountered a lot of compile error and became no idea to handle it,
so replaced compiler with gcc2.95.
Although, I assumed that I re-compiled whole kde sources with gcc2.95,
perhaps FORGETTED to re-compile qt sources.
I suppose this might be a real cause of this "bug"
ie:
[lev@gateway lev]$ cd /usr/local/qt/bin
[lev@gateway bin]$ ls
designer* findtr* moc* qt20fix* qtrename140* uic*
[lev@gateway bin]$ designer -v
designer: Symbol `__vt_t5QList1Z13QListViewItem' has different size in shared
object, consider re-linking
Qt: 2.3.0
KDE: 2.2alpha2
Qt Designer: unknown
[lev@gateway bin]$
