Subject: Bug#1346: Logout by accident!!!
From: Mads Stenhuus Hansen <msh () com ! dtu ! dk>
Date: 1999-05-11 7:03:11
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: kdebase
Version: 1.1.1pre2
(The KDE version that comes with RedHat-6.0.)
I prefer to use the keyboard (short-cuts) as much as possible instead of
using the mouse. However, due to this I accidentally logged out of the
system TWICE (resulting in data loss)!!! Explanation follows... :-)
What I did was this:
(1)
<ALT> + <F1>
<Enter>
<right-arrow>
<Enter>
This causes KDE to shut down... :-(
OK - I know that what I *should* have done is the following
(2)
<ALT> + <F1>
<Enter>
<right-arrow>
<Space> (and NOT <Enter>)
This cancels the logout procedure.
I suggest that the logout dialog is changed so that sequence (1) and (2)
behaves the same way (i.e. no logout)
Best regards,
Mads
PS. Thanks a lot for providing us Linux users with a GREAT user
interface (*much* better than GNOME)...
