--- Comment #4 from testcore <testcore@gmail.com> ---
OK, poked it with a stick a few more times, and here's where it's at:

- Tried the above steps, received the following message on the console twice,
GUI did not start:

"QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication.
Application may misbehave."

- Updated my pacman repo's again; the only update is kwallet 5.13.0-4
- Installing the updated package does NOT resolve the issue
- It does, however, produce more useful output when run from CLI:

"$ kwalletmanager5
The kwalletd service has been registered
Connecting to deprecated signal
QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QString,QString,QString)
QDBusConnection: name 'org.kde.kwalletd5' had owner '' but we thought it was
':1.100'"

However, while poking around, I ran "pgrep -a wallet" to see what exactly runs,
and got this output:

$ pgrep -a wallet
4734 kdeinit4: kwalletd [kdeinit]
5618 /usr/bin/kwalletd5

So it does look like kde4 is running, when it should be plasma5. I did a
migration, per the Arch Wiki, a few months back. But it seems something's
reverted, otherwise why is kdeinit4 running when kdeinit5 is most definitely
present?
