Is it fixed when you have to enter a password?
I.e. enable "Password required after" and set it to 1s f.e.

That's a completely different problem.

Try to disable the option "Suspend desktop effects for fullscreen windows" in
the Desktop Effects settings ("Advanced").

If the clock screensaver doesn't work for you anyway, why don't you just use
the "Simple Screenlocker", as is the default?
That one doesn't have this problem... ;)
