Actually, the wrapper can be tricked to pose as the original app, and then
invoce the restart command of the original binary:
cat /usr/bin/skype
#!/bin/bash
export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so
exec -a /usr/bin/skype /usr/bin/skype.bin $@
This seems to include the LD_PRELOAD in the restored skype's environment, but
it still doesn't (always?) work, which can be skype's fault, also.
However, I think it would be nice to be able specify some mandatory environment
for the binaries being restarted for uses like this.
