the externally provided wrapper script helps nothing, as the app's own restart
command is rather unlikely to invoke it.
while xsmp does not prescribe any state management beyond what the app itself
requests, it is also true that this is literally environment, something the app
cannot be expected to deal with (in this case it is the system dynloader's
config, after all).
i don't remember xsmp explicitly forbidding additional state management, so we
could take a best-effort approach. 'atd' also simply restores the environment
from the 'at' command invocation (i don't know whether it even bothers with
deleting any variables, but we definitely should).
therefore reopening for further consideration.
