Summary: Detection of hotplugging monitor triggered only when
                    clicking on Display in Systemsettings
           Product: systemsettings
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: sourtooth+ssbugs@gmail.com
        ReportedBy: holy@pcg.wustl.edu

Version: 1.0 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-21-generic

I'm running the Kubuntu 10.04 RC1 live CD. When I plug in a new monitor to my
laptop, wait, nothing happens. I then go to the K menu, select System Settings,
and click on Display. Suddenly a dialog pops up saying that a new monitor has
been detected, and asks me whether I want to configure the display. If I select
yes, I get two windows for display configuration.

The proper behavior would be to have the configuration dialog pop up without me
having to navigate to System Settings.
