From kde-bugs-dist Mon Apr 26 03:31:20 2010 From: Tim Holy Date: Mon, 26 Apr 2010 03:31:20 +0000 To: kde-bugs-dist Subject: [Bug 235411] New: Detection of hotplugging monitor triggered only Message-Id: X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kde-bugs-dist&m=127225274304721 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235411 Summary: Detection of hotplugging monitor triggered only when clicking on Display in Systemsettings Product: systemsettings Version: unspecified Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: sourtooth+ssbugs@gmail.com ReportedBy: holy@pcg.wustl.edu Version: 1.0 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-21-generic I'm running the Kubuntu 10.04 RC1 live CD. When I plug in a new monitor to my laptop, wait, nothing happens. I then go to the K menu, select System Settings, and click on Display. Suddenly a dialog pops up saying that a new monitor has been detected, and asks me whether I want to configure the display. If I select yes, I get two windows for display configuration. The proper behavior would be to have the configuration dialog pop up without me having to navigate to System Settings. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
