Summary: Please provide a way to turn off background image
                    selection animation
           Product: plasma
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: plasma-bugs@kde.org
        ReportedBy: sliedes@cc.hut.fi

Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

When choosing desktop background in Desktop Settings, the thumbnail image
annoyingly fades from the old image to the newly selected one. I'm convinced
this slows down my browsing of the images by at least a factor of three.

In KDE 3, all extra animations were turnable off. In KDE 4, most seem to be,
but there are small places like this and Konsole config (I've filed a separate
bug for that). Perhaps there could be a global setting to turn off all
animations? I'd prefer to see the results of my actions as soon as available,
not 2 seconds later.
