Summary: Restore ability to add group chats to the contact list
           Product: kopete
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kopete-bugs@kde.org
        ReportedBy: jason@keirstead.org

Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

Adding a group chat to the contact list used to be possible. It seems now
though that when you do this, the metacontact associated with it is transient -
the contact does not stay in the contact list after the chat is closed.
Instead, it makes some kind o protocol-dependant bookmark (in Jabber you can
right click on the protocol and select "Group Chat Bookmarks")

This is less than ideal for a few reasons. Firstly, it makes it impossible to
set per-chat notification settings (ie, you want messages from a specific chat
room to always alert you, and others to not). Second, it makes it not possible
to group the chat rooms properly in your contact list if they are affiliated
with specific groups of people.
