Yes, it's a good idea, this tool allowed me to change the owner name in the camera \
pref as I wanted. It may be buggy/broken because I had to retry several time before I \
could set the pref for my camera (PowerShot A95). The tool even allow me to sync the \
camera time, useful for GPS sync.
