No, this is a misunderstanding. If you turn off background parsing, the parser will \
still activate on file saves and document switches. The Problems view displays the \
parsers current understanding of the source, so turning off the background parser \
_shouldn't_ clear the "syntax errors" since they reflect how KDevelop currently sees \
the source. If you correct the error and press save, the error markers should \
disappear.
